Job Summary
Alamar Foods is looking for a detail-oriented Procurement Specialist to manage procurement activities, supplier coordination, purchase orders, and import-related documentation.
The successful candidate will support efficient purchasing operations, supplier performance, and regulatory compliance while ensuring timely availability of materials and services across the business.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage procurement activities, including supplier sourcing, quotation evaluation, negotiation, and purchase order processing.
- Identify and evaluate suppliers to ensure competitive pricing, quality, and timely delivery.
- Create, monitor, and follow up on purchase orders through ERP systems.
- Coordinate with suppliers and internal departments to ensure timely delivery and resolve supply issues.
- Handle product registration and import clearance documentation through SFDA, Fasah, and SABER, as applicable.
- Coordinate shipping documents, product conformity certificates, and customs clearance requirements.
- Support supplier evaluations, contract negotiations, and cost-saving initiatives.
- Collaborate with Planning, Warehousing, Logistics, Quality Assurance, and Finance teams.
- Monitor outstanding purchase orders, supplier performance, and procurement-related KPIs.
- Maintain accurate procurement records and ensure compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Commerce, Engineering, or a related field.
- 3-5 years of experience in procurement or purchasing, preferably within FMCG, food manufacturing, QSR, or food service.
- Hands-on experience managing local and international purchase orders through ERP systems.
- Practical experience with SFDA product registration, Fasah, and SABER processes.
- Knowledge of import documentation, Incoterms, customs clearance, and procurement procedures.
- Strong supplier negotiation, coordination, and relationship management skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, ERP systems, and procurement reporting.
- Strong organizational, analytical, and communication skills.
- Proficiency in Arabic and English.
