Job Summary
A Procurement / Purchase Executive is responsible for sourcing, negotiating, and purchasing goods and services required by the company. The role ensures cost efficiency, quality, and timely delivery while maintaining strong supplier relationships.
Key Responsibilities
- Identify and evaluate suppliers and vendors
- Request and compare quotations (RFQs) and negotiate pricing
- Issue purchase orders (POs) and track deliveries
- Ensure materials/services meet quality and specification requirements
- Monitor stock levels and coordinate with warehouse or operations teams
- Maintain records of purchases, pricing, and supplier performance
- Develop and maintain vendor relationships
- Ensure compliance with company policies and procurement procedures
- Handle contract agreements and renewals
- Resolve issues related to delays, damages, or shortages
Skills & Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in:
- Business Administration
- Supply Chain Management
- Logistics or related field
- Proven experience in procurement or purchasing (1-5+ years typical)
- Strong negotiation and communication skills
- Knowledge of supply chain processes
- Good analytical and cost management skills
- Proficiency in:
- Microsoft Excel
- ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle)
