Procurement Officer (Tendering)

Role overview

Key responsibilities

• Manage tendering and procurement from RFQ/RFP preparation through contract award.
• Prepare and issue tender documents, RFQs, RFPs, and purchase orders.
• Source and evaluate suppliers, contractors, and service providers; analyze quotations, bids, and commercial proposals.
• Coordinate technical and commercial evaluations with relevant departments.
• Negotiate prices, payment terms, delivery schedules, and contractual conditions.
• Prepare bid comparisons, tender evaluations, and procurement recommendations.
• Maintain procurement records, supplier documentation, and tender files.
• Monitor purchase orders, deliveries, and supplier performance.
• Ensure compliance with company policies, budgets, and applicable regulations.
• Maintain supplier relationships and identify cost-saving opportunities and alternative suppliers.

Candidate requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Procurement, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Engineering, or a related field.
• 3–5 years of relevant procurement and tendering experience.
• Experience preparing and evaluating tenders, RFQs, and RFPs.
• Strong negotiation, analytical, and communication skills.
• Good knowledge of procurement procedures, contracts, and supplier management.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
• Qatar/GCC experience is an advantage.
• Short-notice availability is highly preferred.
