About This Role

Job Summary

The Procurement Officer is responsible for sourcing, negotiating, and purchasing materials, equipment, and services required for interior fit-out and joinery production projects. The role ensures timely delivery, cost efficiency, and compliance with project specifications and company standards. The candidate must be bilingual (Arabic & English).

Key Responsibilities

1. Procurement & Sourcing

  • Source and procure materials such as wood, MDF, veneers, laminates, hardware, glass, finishes, and fit-out accessories.
  • Identify and evaluate reliable suppliers and subcontractors.
  • Obtain quotations, prepare comparison sheets, and recommend cost-effective options.

2. Vendor Management

  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with local and international suppliers.
  • Negotiate prices, payment terms, and delivery schedules.
  • Communicate effectively in both Arabic and English with vendors and stakeholders.
  • Monitor supplier performance and ensure quality standards are met.

3. Purchase Order Management

  • Prepare and issue purchase orders in line with project requirements.
  • Track orders and ensure timely delivery to factory or site.
  • Coordinate with warehouse, production, and project teams.

4. Cost Control & Budgeting

  • Prepare the procurement budge.
  • Ensure procurement activities align with project budgets.
  • Identify cost-saving opportunities without compromising quality.
  • Maintain accurate procurement records and reports.

5. Coordination with Internal Teams

  • Work closely with design, estimation, and production teams to understand material specifications.
  • Support project managers in meeting deadlines and procurement schedules.

6. Inventory & Logistics

  • Monitor stock levels and coordinate replenishment.
  • Arrange logistics and delivery schedules to avoid delays.

7. Compliance & Documentation

  • Ensure all purchases comply with company policies and contract requirements.
  • Maintain proper documentation for audits and approvals.
  • Prepare procurement reports and correspondence in both Arabic and English when required.

Qualifications & Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or related field.
  • 3–5 years of procurement experience in fit-out, joinery, or construction industry .
  • Strong knowledge of joinery materials, finishes, and hardware.
  • Fluency in Arabic and English (spoken and written) is mandatory.
  • Proficiency in procurement software and MS Office (Excel, ERP systems preferred).
  • Excellent negotiation and communication skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
