Procurement and sourcing
- Lead strategic sourcing across assigned categories and contribute to allocated procurement projects, tenders, and complex strategic procurement work.
- Analyze spend information to develop procurement strategies and workplans supporting cost and efficiency savings.
- Maintain management information on workplans, cost improvement reporting, and project activity; ensure effective use of procurement systems and procedures.
- Deliver value for money through category priorities, contracts, supplier relationship management, and contract management.
- Research market risks and trends and guide the team on business opportunities and continuous improvement.
Stakeholder and contract work
- Work with end users to support compliance with agreed products and rationalize catalogue ranges.
- Advise stakeholders on contracts, procurement decisions, governance, SLAs, and KPIs; identify further contracting opportunities.
- Control procurement risks associated with trials and research and development activities.
- Coordinate collaborative purchasing, trials, and long-term plans that support standardization across the local health economy.
- Work with partners on cohesive product and service strategies, considering supply chain, materials management, and stock holding.
- Deputize for the Senior Procurement Manager when required, including acting as an authorized signatory for the department.

- Procurement expertise to lead strategic sourcing, tenders, and complex procurement projects.
- Ability to analyze spend information and develop procurement strategies and workplans supporting cost and efficiency savings.
- Ability to manage contracts and supplier relationships and provide expert contract management advice.
- Ability to advise stakeholders on procurement decisions in accordance with local and national governance procedures and policies.
- Ability to manage procurement risks involving trials and research and development activities.
- Ability to consider supply-chain effects, materials management, and stock holding when undertaking procurement.
