Procurement Manager - Piling Industry Experience

Role Overview

Procurement Responsibilities

• Develop procurement strategies and manage end-to-end procurement for piling and foundation projects.
• Source and evaluate suppliers, subcontractors, manufacturers, and service providers.
• Negotiate prices, payment terms, delivery schedules, contracts, and commercial conditions.
• Procure piling materials, construction consumables, equipment, machinery, tools, and spare parts.
• Review requisitions, specifications, bills of quantities, technical requirements, and project schedules before ordering.
• Monitor outstanding purchase orders and follow up on delayed deliveries.

Coordination and Delivery

• Coordinate with project managers, construction managers, quantity surveyors, stores, finance, engineering, logistics, and warehouse teams.
• Ensure materials and equipment reach project sites within required timelines.
• Support project teams in resolving material shortages, delivery issues, and supplier disputes.
• Ensure purchased materials comply with project specifications and quality standards.

Supplier and Cost Management

• Monitor market prices and identify cost-saving and alternative sourcing opportunities.
• Maintain supplier relationships, evaluate supplier performance, and manage approved supplier records.
• Prepare purchase orders, contracts, cost comparisons, supplier evaluations, and management reports.
• Ensure procurement activities comply with company policies, project requirements, and applicable UAE regulations.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Procurement, Business Administration, Engineering, or a related field.
• At least 8–12+ years of procurement experience.
• Strong knowledge of piling materials, equipment, machinery, consumables, and spare parts.
• Proven experience with suppliers, subcontractors, and manufacturers.
• Experience managing multiple project procurement requirements simultaneously.
• Proficiency in MS Office and ERP or procurement systems.

Preferred Experience and Skills

• Experience in piling, foundation, geotechnical, or heavy construction procurement is preferred.
• UAE/GCC construction material and equipment market experience is preferred.
• Strong negotiation, commercial, analytical, vendor-management, communication, and coordination skills are required.

Compensation

• Pay is AED 10,000–12,000 per month.

Workplace

• Work location is in person in Sharjah, UAE.
