Principal Responsibilities

Oversee the company’s sourcing capabilities and supply chain.

Responsible for strategic sourcing -finding and evaluating suppliers, products and services, negotiating contracts and acquiring the most cost-efficient methods without compromising on quality.

Responsible for vendor interactions and maximize their value.

Detailed Responsibilities

1) Execute, and negotiate procurement related functions (e.g. develop and implement contract management, procurement frameworks, sourcing strategies, negotiate agreements, manage vendor contracts etc.)

2) Development of new suppliers to ensure there are alternate sources of supply for each item.

Source materials to reduce the cost without affecting the quality

3) Regular audit of the suppliers – a supplier price history database to capture and assess the supplier’s service, quality and price performance

4) Develop and build relationships with key suppliers and customers to have effective business terms with them

5) Forecast price, demand patterns and market trends to identify changes; Perform cost and scenario analysis, and benchmarking

6) Develop analytical and data management capabilities including metrics & reports to effectively track the procurement activities and share with the business heads

7) Assist in annual budgeting and monitor prices, cash flow, supplier contracts, reduction of wastages etc.

8) Understand the functional business; helping to identify opportunities for process improvement, cost containment/avoidance or revenue generation.

9) Attend industry events as the company’s representative

Desired Profile

1) Bachelor's degree in business, management, statistics, supply chain, or related field

2) Minimum of 6-7 years of experience in vendor management, purchasing, procurement or related field

3) Minimum of 3-4 years of experience with contract manufacturing

4) Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

5) Proficient in Microsoft Suite (Word, Excel, and Power Point)

Experience

with Oracle EBS and business intelligence (Oracle OBIEE) tools

7) Strong interpersonal skills and oral and written English communication skills

8) Ability to work independently as well as cross functionally in a collaborative environment

9) Results oriented with strong project management skills

10) Flexibility to travel as per organizational needs (may include international travel)
