Role Description
This full-time, remote Procurement Manager role at ACEM – Association Camerounaise des Experts-comptables Mémorialistes focuses on managing end-to-end procurement activities to support the organization’s operational and strategic needs.
The Procurement Manager will develop and implement procurement plans, identify and qualify suppliers, and coordinate competitive bidding processes.
The role includes evaluating supplier performance, negotiating terms and conditions, and managing contracts to ensure compliance with organizational policies and budgetary requirements.
The Procurement Manager will monitor market trends and pricing, analyze procurement data, and recommend cost-optimization initiatives.
The position also involves collaborating with internal stakeholders to understand requirements, ensuring timely delivery of goods and services, and maintaining accurate documentation and records in line with organizational standards.
Qualifications
- Strong procurement and sourcing skills, including experience in Procurement and Supplier Evaluation.
- Proficiency in Contract Negotiation and Contract Management, with a proven ability to secure favorable terms and ensure compliance.
- Demonstrated Analytical Skills, with the ability to interpret data, assess risks, and support evidence-based decision-making.
- Knowledge of procurement best practices, policies, and relevant regulations or standards.
- Excellent communication and relationship-management skills for working with suppliers and internal stakeholders.
- High level of integrity, attention to detail, and ability to prioritize multiple tasks in a remote environment.
- Proficiency with procurement or ERP systems and common office software (e.g., spreadsheets, databases, document management tools).
- Bachelor’s degree in supply chain management, business administration, finance, or a related field, or equivalent relevant experience.
- Prior experience in a procurement or supply chain management role, preferably in a professional services or membership-based organization.
