Procurement Engineer – Jeddah

Role overview

Responsibilities

• Source and purchase steel, sheet metal, tubes, hardware, coatings, and consumables from local and international suppliers.
• Manage imports from China and other countries through RFQs, negotiations, orders, shipping, customs, and delivery.
• Coordinate freight forwarders, brokers, port clearance, and inbound and outbound shipments.
• Support export activities and documentation as the factory prepares for its next stage.
• Compare quotations, control costs, build supplier relationships, and coordinate with estimating, engineering, and production to ensure materials arrive on time.

Requirements

• Must currently live in Jeddah and hold a valid driving license.
• Bachelor’s degree in mechanical, industrial, or similar engineering, or an equivalent field.
• Proven procurement experience in metal fabrication or metal sourcing.
• Hands-on importing experience from China and other countries, including Incoterms, Saber/SASO, and customs clearance.
• Knowledge of export procedures and documentation, with strong logistics and supply chain management skills.
• Good English is required; Arabic is a plus.
• Comfort with Excel and modern tools, including AI tools.
