Leads procurement strategy and execution across the United States and Americas.
The hands-on and strategic role focuses on critical categories, long-lead equipment, data center experience, and infrastructure schedule milestones.
Procurement leadership and categories
- Define U.S. portfolio procurement strategy, governance, policies, approval thresholds, bidding rules, contract controls, and compliance requirements.
- Own strategies for power generation, UPS, electrical infrastructure, cooling, white-space, civil and structural works, construction, and professional services.
- Lead procurement metrics including savings, lead times, budget adherence, contract coverage, supplier performance, and risk.
Project sourcing and supplier performance
- Contribute to design specifications, supplyability analysis, and cost, schedule, and performance trade-offs.
- Lead sourcing, negotiations, and contracts with EPCs, general contractors, and manufacturers through delivery and L1–L5 commissioning.
- Negotiate critical contract clauses and develop market intelligence, supplier panels, should-cost models, total cost analyses, and master agreements.
- Reduce long-lead equipment and single-source risks through dual sourcing; oversee supplier qualification, audits, scorecards, and corrective actions.
Cross-functional leadership
- Coordinate with customs compliance teams on international logistics and Chinese-origin equipment, including tariffs, traceability, and rules of origin.
- Build and develop a procurement team; work with Engineering, Project Management, Finance, and Operations.
- Support procurement digitalization using Odoo or equivalent and present strategy, risks, savings, and project progress to the Executive Committee.
Requirements
- 15+ years of procurement experience with significant management responsibility.
- Direct data center experience in procurement, sourcing, category management, supplier management, or project procurement is required.
- Strong experience in data center construction, capital equipment, critical infrastructure, or heavy industrial construction.
- Demonstrated expertise in power generation, UPS, critical power, electrical infrastructure, mechanical systems, and cooling.
- Experience managing multi-million-dollar contracts and complex commercial negotiations.
- French speaking is a must.
