Procurement Coordinator

Role overview

Responsibilities

• Process requirements and requisitions for materials and services.
• Support operational procurement, including purchase order creation and expediting.
• Develop and refine procurement policies and procedures, and contribute to performance reporting.
• Develop business understanding to provide internal customers with commercial advice for production operations, asset management and capital project delivery.

Skills and experience

• Experience in a similar procurement role and understanding of procurement processes, preferably in heavy industry, asset management, manufacturing or a similar environment.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Knowledge of SAP or a similar ERP system and Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
• Customer service orientation, strategic thinking, ability to work independently and collaboratively.
• Commitment to Workplace Health and Safety, environmental standards and Mackay Sugar's values.
• Business, Supply Chain or Finance tertiary qualifications, or extensive related technical and commercial experience, are highly regarded.
