Position: Procurement Coordinator; location: UAE; employment type: full-time; reports to a Procurement Manager or Category Manager.
Supports procurement of services and materials for oil and gas, construction, EPC, and industrial services sectors.
The role requires UAE procurement experience and hands-on sourcing across service categories and technical materials.
Procurement and sourcing
- Manage end-to-end procurement in compliance with company policies and procedures.
- Source pipes, fittings, valves, flanges, structural steel, instrumentation, electrical equipment, and construction materials.
- Issue RFQs, evaluate quotations, prepare commercial bid evaluations, and recommend sourcing options.
- Negotiate prices, commercial terms, payment conditions, lead times, and contractual requirements.
- Create and manage purchase orders and service orders; ensure timely delivery.
- Source accommodation, transportation, logistics, equipment rentals, manpower, subcontracting, and other support services.
Services and supplier management
- Identify suitable hotels, labor camps, apartments, and staff accommodation; coordinate bookings and rental agreements while optimizing costs.
- Manage staff transport, bus services, vehicle rentals, and logistics providers across the UAE to meet project and operational needs.
- Identify, evaluate, and qualify suppliers; assess performance and maintain approved vendor databases.
- Support contract negotiations and framework agreements; resolve supplier quality, delivery, and commercial disputes.
- Monitor supplier compliance with contracts and agreed service levels.
Cost and stakeholder coordination
- Identify savings and value-improvement opportunities; conduct market research, price benchmarking, and supplier analysis.
- Monitor market trends for materials, services, accommodation, transportation, and labor costs.
- Support efficiency and total-cost-of-ownership improvements.
- Coordinate with Engineering, Operations, Projects, HR, Finance, Logistics, and Warehouse teams on procurement planning.
- Provide management updates and maintain accurate procurement records for audit readiness.
Qualifications and experience
- Minimum 4–5 years of procurement experience in the UAE.
- Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Engineering, or a related discipline.
- Hands-on experience sourcing accommodation, transportation, manpower, equipment rental, logistics, and subcontracting services.
- Technical procurement experience involving pipes, fittings, instrumentation, and electrical equipment.
- Strong knowledge of procurement processes, supplier management, strategic sourcing, and contract negotiations.
