Procurement Assistant

Role overview

Responsibilities

• Obtain quotations, negotiate commercial terms, prepare bid analyses, and issue purchase orders.
• Use knowledge of civil materials and project procurement requirements to support project teams.
• Build supplier relationships and collaborate with requisition owners and cross-functional stakeholders.
• Follow up on open orders to support timely delivery and resolve supply issues.
• Comply with procurement policies, procedures, and governance requirements.
• Maintain organized procurement documentation and support performance improvement through supplier management and cost-conscious purchasing.
• Take on additional procurement-related duties as assigned by the General Manager.

Qualifications

• Previous procurement experience in the construction industry and a strong understanding of construction materials and services.
• Fluent written and spoken English.
• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Engineering, or a related field.
• Strong communication, interpersonal, relationship-building, negotiation, coordination, and problem-solving abilities.
• Attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
