Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Manufacturing, or related engineering discipline.
- 2+ years of production or process engineering experience in automotive or HVAC manufacturing.
- Hands‐on experience with brazing operations, equipment, and process qualification.
- Proven track record of leading leak‐ and scrap‐reduction projects.
- Experience managing new‐product launches, APQP, and project budgets/schedules.
- Proficiency with CAD software for jig and equipment design.
- Knowledge of Lean, Six Sigma (Green Belt preferred) and statistical analysis tools (Minitab, JMP).
- Strong problem‐solving, root‐cause analysis, and data‐driven decision‐making skills.
- Effective communication and teamwork abilities across cross‐functional groups.
- Commitment to safety, quality standards, and continuous improvement.
Responsibilities
- Lead leak‐reduction projects and implement scrap‐reduction strategies across condenser lines.
- Develop, qualify, and maintain brazing procedures, parameters, and equipment.
- Act as project lead for new‐product launches, managing the APQP process from quotation to production rollout.
- Create and validate jigs, fixtures, and machinery using CAD or external resources to meet customer schedules.
- Develop and control project budgets and schedules for new‐product implementation.
- Investigate and integrate new manufacturing technologies to improve productivity and quality.
- Generate and analyze key process metrics; produce performance and cost‐impact reports.
- Provide technical support for root‐cause analysis, troubleshooting, and corrective actions.
- Collaborate with design, quality, and manufacturing teams to drive Lean, Six Sigma, and other continuous‐improvement initiatives.
- Prepare and maintain work instructions, SOPs, and training materials for operators.
