Qualifications:
- NFPA 70 E Training
- Industry Recognized Electrical Apprenticeship, or General Journeyman Electrical / Master Electrical License, or MSHA Coal Qualified Person, or 2 years’ experience working under the supervision of a Qualified Electrical Worker within a mining, industrial or commercial industry.
- All Qualified Electrical Workers are required to comply with the Electrical Safety Principal Control Plan and the referenced standard operating procedures.
Experience:
- 5-10 Years exposure to heavy industries
- Exposure to mining or mineral processing industries is a plus
- Exposure to leading and supervision of staff and contractors
- Physical Requirements:
- While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand, sit, demonstrate manual dexterity, climb stairs, talk, hear and see.
- Must be Fit for Duty: Able to lift and carry 50lbs overhead, climb ladders, work at heights, etc.
- Must be able to work in adverse weather conditions: wind, rain, sun.
- Work is in a surface mine setting, which may include exposure to extremes in temperature and humidity.
- Personal protective equipment is required when performing work in a mine environment, including hard hat, hearing protection, safety glasses, safety footwear, and as needed, respirator, rubber steel-toe boots, protective clothing, gloves, and any other protective equipment as required.
