Role overview

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with engineering, data science, product, and design on product vision, strategy, and roadmap.
• Build and evolve the platform using strong, iterative engineering practices.
• Mentor teammates and share knowledge.
• Own platform areas from development through production operations.

Basic qualifications

• 12+ years of professional software engineering experience.
• 8+ years with a web development framework and 8+ years with relational and NoSQL databases.
• 5+ years leading design or architecture of systems for reliability and scale.

Additional qualifications

• Experience building and operating SaaS products in cloud environments; AWS is preferred.
• Familiarity with distributed systems, DevOps, CI/CD, automated testing, and observability.
• Hands-on Docker or Kubernetes experience; Elasticsearch familiarity.
• Java and TypeScript exposure is a plus.
• Experience in agile cross-functional teams, strong communication, and comfort with ambiguity.

Compensation

• Annual base salary range for Vancouver and additional Canadian locations is CAD 168,000–252,000.
• The role may be eligible for a bonus plan or role-specific commission or bonus, and annual stock refresh grants.
