Principal Software Engineer - ATS Experience

Role objective

Core duties

• Refresh the Vue and PHP application interface and modernize legacy jQuery pages into component-based Vue while preserving existing behavior.
• Build modern, responsive, accessible UI improvements focused on performance and consistency.
• Elevate front-end quality across component structure, CSS architecture, state management, and performance.
• Review code to ensure front-end quality and adherence to established patterns.
• Collaborate with product management and UX to translate experience goals into scalable technical solutions.
• Identify and resolve UI bottlenecks in load times, rendering performance, and client-side resource management.
• Integrate with backend services through RESTful APIs.
• Raise front-end practices through code reviews, pairing, and leading by example.
• Use AI-assisted development, agentic coding, spec-driven development, and AI-augmented code review as core workflow practices.

Minimum qualifications

• At least 7 years developing web applications and 3 years developing cloud-native applications.
• Demonstrated professional use of AI-assisted development tools such as GitHub Copilot, Claude Code, or Cursor.
• Ability to ramp quickly on unfamiliar legacy codebases and discuss a specific example.
• Ability to work independently to research and solve complex problems.
• Expert-level Vue 3, including component libraries and design systems.

Technical skills

• Strong skills in component-driven UI architecture, modern JavaScript and TypeScript, CSS architecture, responsive and accessible web design, state management, and front-end performance.
• Experience with RESTful API consumption, Azure, SOLID principles, and front-end unit and integration testing.
• Modernizing legacy jQuery into Vue, PHP-backed applications, design system integration, component libraries, WCAG 2.1, and performance profiling tools are listed as pluses.
