About the Role
The Principal Consultant guides deployment of Workday Student solutions and provides student systems, higher education, and deployment expertise.
The consultant serves as an advisor while coordinating alignment with other functional areas of the Workday product platform.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain higher education standard practices to reflect industry requirements and trends.
- Determine customer requirements and advise on tailored Workday Student solution designs.
- Demonstrate solutions to stakeholders throughout deployment while focusing on customer business outcomes.
- Own workstream status reporting and project health from discovery through go-live.
- Lead or shape prospect discovery sessions and advise on Statements of Work and project estimates.
- Act as an escalation point for complex issues and manage priorities across concurrent customer engagements.
- Lead training and enablement sessions and mentor less experienced consultants.
Qualifications
- At least 7 years of experience implementing or supporting student systems solutions in Student Financials.
- At least 7 years of consulting experience.
- Experience in the higher education industry at an institution or a vendor serving that industry.
- Workday Student implementation or support experience is highly regarded but not required.
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
- Ability to travel as needed.
