What You Will Do

• Lead embedded software design, development, integration, and verification for aerospace systems.
• Provide software architecture, technical guidance, and engineering team direction.
• Decompose system requirements and lead requirements, design, and code reviews.
• Mentor engineers and support estimation, planning, risk management, and technical problem-solving.
• Develop embedded real-time applications, low-level device drivers, and communication protocol software.
• Debug, optimize, and perform root cause analysis for complex software issues.
• Support CI/CD, automated build and test workflows, configuration management, and releases.
• Ensure compliance with aerospace processes, requirements traceability, verification, certification, reviews, and audits.
• Collaborate with systems, verification, hardware, quality, and program teams.
• Participate in Agile planning, reviews, retrospectives, backlog grooming, and continuous improvement.

Qualifications You Must Have

• At least 12 years of industry experience in a safety-critical domain, preferably aerospace, with embedded software lifecycle experience under DO-178C processes.
• Aerospace or avionics software development experience and knowledge of DO-178C certification processes.
• Experience with DOORS or Polarion requirements management tools.
• Experience with Git, Bitbucket, Jenkins, GitLab CI, or equivalent DevOps tools.
• Knowledge of software verification, regression testing, and structural coverage concepts.
• Experience with static analysis tools and software quality processes.
• Exposure to embedded systems and board bring-up activities.
• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in a listed engineering, computer science, or information technology field.
• Strong Python programming experience.
