Role Overview

What You Will Do

• Lead the design, development, integration, and verification of embedded software for aerospace systems.
• Provide architectural direction, mentor engineers, and drive requirements, design, code, and lifecycle reviews.
• Develop real-time software, low-level device drivers, and communication interfaces including CAN, UART, SPI, I2C, Ethernet, and ARINC 429.
• Perform debugging, performance optimization, root cause analysis, and customer issue corrective actions.
• Implement CI/CD workflows and develop Python automation, testing, data analysis, and productivity tools.
• Support configuration management, releases, traceability, verification, certification deliverables, audits, and Agile development activities.

Qualifications You Must Have

• At least 12 years of industry experience in a safety-critical domain, preferably aerospace, with embedded software lifecycle experience under DO-178C processes.
• Aerospace or avionics software development experience is required.
• Knowledge of DO-178C and certification processes is required.
• Experience with DOORS or Polarion requirements management tools is required.
• Experience with Git, Bitbucket, Jenkins, GitLab CI, or equivalent DevOps tools is required.
• Knowledge of software verification, regression testing, structural coverage, static analysis, and software quality processes is required.
• Exposure to embedded systems and board bring-up activities is required.
• A relevant bachelor's or master's degree is required.
• Strong Python programming experience is required.
