What You Will Do

• Lead the design, development, integration, and verification of embedded aerospace software.
• Provide architecture direction, technical guidance, mentoring, and coaching to software teams.
• Decompose system requirements and drive requirements, design, code, and technical reviews.
• Develop embedded and real-time application software, device drivers, and communication protocol software.
• Debug, optimize, and analyze complex software issues and support corrective and preventive actions.
• Support CI/CD pipelines, automated build, test, deployment, configuration management, and release activities.
• Develop Python tools for automation, testing, data analysis, and productivity improvements.
• Ensure compliance with aerospace software processes, requirements traceability, verification, and certification activities.
• Collaborate with systems, verification, hardware, quality, and program teams in Agile development activities.
• Drive backlog refinement, feature decomposition, estimation, and continuous improvement initiatives.

Qualifications You Must Have

• At least 12 years of industry experience in a safety-critical domain, preferably aerospace, involving embedded software lifecycles aligned with DO-178C processes.
• Experience in aerospace or avionics software development.
• Knowledge of DO-178C and certification processes.
• Experience with requirements management tools such as DOORS or Polarion.
• Experience with Git, Bitbucket, Jenkins, GitLab CI, or equivalent DevOps tools.
• Knowledge of verification, regression testing, structural coverage, static analysis, and software quality processes.
• Exposure to embedded systems and board bring-up activities.
• A bachelor's or master's degree is required in a listed computer science, electronics, electrical, or information technology discipline.
• Strong Python programming experience is required.
