Responsibilities:
- Lead the development, evaluation, and enhancement of CAD and EDA tools, flows, and methodologies
- Drive large-scale technical projects and provide expertise within CAD, design automation, and verification domains
- Guide AI and machine learning integration across CAD workflows and engineering applications
- Collaborate with design and process engineering teams to improve design efficiency and tool effectiveness
- Deliver training, documentation, and technical support for new tools, processes, and methodologies
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related field
- 10+ years of experience in semiconductor engineering, CAD, EDA, design automation, verification, or related areas
- Experience with IC design CAD tools, including schematic capture, layout, simulation, and verification
- Strong programming skills with experience in Python and at least one additional language such as SKILL, C, C++, Perl, Lisp, or Visual Basic
- Knowledge of CMOS circuit design and implementation, including area, performance, and power tradeoffs
Preferred Qualifications:
- Master's degree or PhD in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related field
- Experience with AI/ML, large language models, agentic AI, or AI-enabled engineering applications
- Experience with RTL-to-GDSII implementation flows and tools such as Fusion Compiler, Innovus, PrimeTime, Formality, RedHawk-SC, or SpyGlass
- Experience with analog or digital verification flows, parasitic extraction flows, or design database version control systems
- Experience working in Unix environments and developing shell scripts
