Key Responsibilities
- Evaluate equipment operation and maintenance to understand functionality and identify potential failure modes Analyze equipment risks associated with new opportunities Develop risk engineering standards and best practices for assigned equipment and industries Provide guidelines for ongoing engineering loss prevention activities Assist in claim investigations and review loss data Develop training materials for both technical and non-technical personnel Build relationships with equipment manufacturers and participate in technical societies to stay informed about industry trends Education and Experience Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering. Master’s or advanced graduate degree is a plus. Professional certifications such as Professional Engineer (PE), Certified Energy Manager (CEM), or Certified Energy Auditor (CEA), are preferred. Minimum 10 years of engineering experience in design, manufacturing, project development, operation, construction or maintenance in the field of HVAC/R.
