Principal Engineer

Responsibilities

•  Virtualization Management: Administer and support VMware vSphere, ESXi hosts, and vCenter Servers and Nsx-v and NSX-t infra instances.
•  Cluster & Resource Health: Monitor and manage cluster configurations, High Availability (HA), Distributed Resource Scheduler (DRS), and vSAN datastores.
•  Incident & Problem Management: Troubleshoot performance bottlenecks, VM connectivity losses, storage latency, and host failures.
•  Patching & Upgrades: Perform regular lifecycle management, firmware updates, and ESXi/vCenter patching and Dell OMSA
•  Backup & Recovery: Coordinate with enterprise backup tools (e.g., Veeam, NetBackup) to ensure VM data integrity and disaster recovery readiness.
•  Collaboration: Work alongside Windows/Linux OS, storage, and network teams on root cause analysis (RCA) and infrastructure maintenance.
• Monitoring : Regular Monitoring of Infra servers and services via Zabbix, VMware vROps , physical servers support and AMC
• Vendors Cordination : Work with On Prem and On Cloud Datacenter support teams for vendor engagement and support coordination.
• Knowledge of Horizon VDI, SRM, Hyperv and Azure will have extra advantage.
• Currently, we have a Principal Engineer, Aneesh Koshy , who has put his resignation letter on 07 h Aug. His last working day will be 5 th Oct 2026.
