Senior/Principal Engineer – Global Engineering Team (Electrical)

We are looking for electrical engineers with strong technical ability; you will hold at least eight years of experience working on data projects across various regions (EMEA or APAC) with a proven track record, demonstrating technical delivery. You will have worked alongside data centre developers and end users at a project level and directly contributed to their overall success and functional achievements. You will have experienced the drivers that make and shape projects across various regions and hold deep technical knowledge in regard to the electrical engineering solutions and applications that are required to bridge the needs of an exciting, dynamic and yet important sector for our business.

This opportunity is not a day-to-day project delivery role. We are looking for talented engineers who can join our Global Engineering Team and help us develop and implement the tools and processes that will allow our delivery teams to grow and scale, yet importantly remain “best in class”. You’ll challenge the norm and help create and define standards, processes and delivery that raises the bar in terms of what we can offer to our clients. You will influence our “technical product” and keep us on point in terms of what is technically possible, solving challenges and pushing boundaries along the way. You will work closely with our business leaders and help shape our growth and elevate our position within the industry.

What you’ll be doing

This role sits within the Global Engineering Team (GET), working across regions and disciplines to drive consistency, quality, and innovation.

• Lead and support multidisciplinary design delivery on complex data centre and mission-critical projects
• Develop and implement global design standards, tools, and quality benchmarks
• Provide technical oversight on design optimisation, risk, and performance improvements
• Act as a senior technical advisor to internal teams and external clients
• Drive collaboration between regional teams, ensuring knowledge sharing and alignment
• Contribute to technical audits, peer reviews, and continuous improvement initiatives
• Mentor engineers and support capability development across the business

What you bring

We’re not looking for a checklist candidate, but you’ll likely have:

• Around 8+ years of experience in electrical engineering within data centre or mission-critical environments
• Proven involvement in delivering projects across regions (EMEA, APAC or similar)
• Strong technical grounding in electrical systems design for data centres
• Experience working with developers, operators, or end users
• Confidence engaging at both technical and stakeholder levels
• Chartered status (or working towards) is advantageous
