Role Overview
AECOM is seeking a Principal Engineer to join its Building Structures team in India.
The role contributes to impactful building projects across global offices and develops technical expertise in a high-performing team.
Responsibilities
- Develop technical solutions to a wide range of difficult building-structures problems.
- Independently determine and develop approaches to solutions under general direction.
- Deliver projects using BIM and relevant discipline software.
- Apply building design services, regulations, and technical standards to assigned work.
- Take responsibility and accountability for assigned work while making proactive decisions.
Qualifications and Experience
- Master of Engineering degree or equivalent education in an appropriate engineering discipline from an accredited institution.
- Applicants must have 8–12 years of civil engineering experience.
- Experience with medium-to-large retail and hospitality projects is required.
- Middle East, US, UK, Canada, or ANZ experience is preferred but not essential.
- Experience delivering projects in BIM and relevant discipline software is required.

- Ability to make decisions, take initiative, and operate proactively.
