Role Overview

Dell Technologies Services Solutions Architecture team seeks a Principal Engineer - AI Networking Solutions Architect to advance high-performance AI infrastructure.

The role collaborates with Dell consultants, engineering teams, and client stakeholders to design, deploy, optimize, and support large-scale AI network infrastructure solutions.

Ensures technical excellence and customer satisfaction throughout each phase of the engagement.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the deployment and integration of AI network infrastructure solutions utilizing NVIDIA, AMD, and Intel technologies.
  • Coordinate technical solution team members to meet contract obligations and keep full life cycle delivery costs within the service level agreement.
  • Proactively identify potential issues and drive resolution to avoid customer impact and facilitate continuous improvement.
  • Build and sustain effective communications with partners and cross-functional teams to maximize customer experience and relationships.
  • Collaborate with clients to assess technical requirements and deliver customized infrastructure solutions.
  • Develop comprehensive documentation including architecture diagrams, deployment guides, technical designs, and operational procedures.
  • Act as a trusted technical advisor throughout the customer engagement lifecycle.
  • Maintain awareness of all service matters and manage customers during escalations.

Essential Requirements

  • Five or more years of working full-time as an IT professional in a Data Centre environment.
  • Proven success in designing and deploying large-scale AI network infrastructures.
  • Excellent knowledge and experience of networking concepts: IP switching and routing, networking up to and including L3 BGP eVPN data centre technologies, firewalls and security products.
  • Experience with one or more third-party networking vendor equipment such as Cisco, Juniper, Palo Alto, and Extreme Networks.
  • Implementation of advanced networking solutions including NVIDIA InfiniBand and Ethernet technologies.
  • Demonstrated expertise in NVIDIA networking technologies: InfiniBand (Quantum), Ethernet (Spectrum-X), MLNX-OS, NVIDIA Cumulus OS, and Enterprise SONiC.
  • Capacity to manage multiple projects independently and deliver results in dynamic environments.
  • Strong knowledge and experience with communications and wide and local area networking.
  • Strong documentation and reporting skills to document technical problems and summarize them for business and technical clients.

Desirable Requirements

  • 5+ years of related experience with GENAI frameworks and related tools.
  • Experience with NVIDIA DGX and DGX SuperPOD platforms or similar GPU platforms.
  • Certifications in Networking.
