About This Role

About our client We are working with a leading Abu Dhabi-based investor with a broad global mandate across private markets. They are looking to bring on a Principal who's role combines traditional asset management responsibilities with portfolio analytics, leveraging data and AI.

The organisation invests across private equity, venture capital and co-investments, and is continuing to enhance its portfolio management capabilities with a focus on data, analytics and technology-enabled processes.

What the job involves The Principal will play a key role in driving portfolio oversight, analytics and value creation across a global private equity portfolio.

• Leading portfolio monitoring and performance management across private equity and venture capital investments (funds and co-investments)
• Developing reporting, forecasting and re-underwriting frameworks, and supporting investment committee materials
• Building benchmarking and performance attribution frameworks across strategies, geographies and vintages
• Designing predictive models and scenario analysis tools to enhance portfolio visibility and decision-making
• Driving improvements in data, systems and reporting infrastructure in collaboration with internal teams
• Engaging with external managers and working closely with investment, finance, risk and technology teams

Who we are looking for

• Experience within private equity, institutional portfolio management or a leading sovereign wealth fund / pension platform
• Strong understanding of fund structures, co-investments and private markets performance metrics (IRR, TVPI, DPI)
• Advanced financial modelling and analytical capabilities, with exposure to reporting or benchmarking frameworks
• An interest in data-driven investing, including AI or predictive analytics
• A structured, process-driven mindset with strong communication and stakeholder management skills
• Willingness and ability to work full time in Abu Dhabi
