Role overview

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement pricing strategies for freight forwarding, ocean freight, and other shipping services.
• Analyze market trends, competitor rates, and customer demand to adjust pricing models.
• Calculate freight rates using shipping lanes, container types, volumes, and customer requirements.
• Negotiate with vendors, shipping lines, and service providers; collaborate with sales on customer-specific offers.
• Ensure pricing complies with international shipping regulations and local market practices.
• Analyze costs and margins; prepare customer quotes aligned with pricing policies and profit goals.
• Gather shipping-route and service-option intelligence and assess pricing risks in changing markets.
• Report revenue forecasts, pricing performance, and trends to senior management.
