About This Role
We are seeking a highly skilled Pre-Sales Solutions Architect (Cloud & AI) to join our team, responsible for leading the end-to-end pre-sales lifecycle for cloud and AI solutions. This role is ideal for a professional with strong expertise in Huawei Cloud, combined with the ability to translate business requirements into scalable, cost-effective, and innovative technical solutions.
The successful candidate will work closely with clients, sales teams, and technology partners to design, size, price, and propose solutions across cloud infrastructure and AI-driven use cases, including engagements with third-party AI vendors.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead requirements gathering sessions with clients to understand business, technical, and operational needs
- Design end-to-end cloud architectures on Huawei Cloud, ensuring scalability, security, and high availability
- Own solution sizing, cost estimation, and pricing models aligned with client requirements and business goals
- Prepare and deliver high-quality technical proposals, solution documents, and RFP responses
- Act as the primary technical advisor during pre-sales engagements and client discussions
- Collaborate with internal sales, delivery, and external vendors (including AI providers) to build integrated solutions
- Provide solution validation and technical governance before project handover to delivery teams
- Support proof-of-concepts (PoCs), demos, and technical presentations
- Contribute to AI-related initiatives, including:
- Designing cloud architectures to support AI/ML workloads
- Evaluating and integrating third-party AI platforms and services
- Advising clients on AI use cases, feasibility, and implementation approaches
Qualifications & Experience
- Proven experience as a Solutions Architect, Pre-Sales Architect, or similar role in cloud environments
- Strong hands-on and architectural experience with Huawei Cloud (certifications highly preferred)
- Demonstrated experience in solution design, sizing, and proposal development
- Solid understanding of cloud pricing models and cost optimization strategies
- Experience working with enterprise IT environments, including:
- Networking, storage, compute, security and virtualization
- Hybrid cloud and migration scenarios
- Familiarity with AI/ML concepts and cloud-based AI services, including:
- Model deployment and lifecycle management
- Data pipelines and analytics platforms
- Strong documentation, presentation, and client-facing communication skills
- Fluency in English is mandatory
Preferred Attributes
- Experience working in system integrators, cloud partners, or consulting environments
- Exposure to multi-cloud architectures
- Understanding of cloud security, governance, and compliance frameworks
- Experience responding to RFPs, RFQs, and tenders
- Awareness of AI governance, data privacy, and ethical considerations
- Ability to balance technical excellence with commercial awareness
