About Kaluza
Kaluza is the Energy Intelligence Platform, turning energy complexity into seamless coordination. We help energy companies overcome today’s challenges while accelerating the shift to a clean, electrified future.
Our platform orchestrates millions of real-time decisions across homes, devices, markets and grids. By combining predictive algorithms with human-centred design, Kaluza makes clean energy dependable, affordable and adaptive to everyday life.
With teams across Europe, Asia and Australia, and a joint venture with Mitsubishi Corporation in Japan, we power leading companies including OVO, AGL and ENGIE, as well as innovators like Volvo and Volkswagen.
What you’ll do
As a Pre-Sales Solutions Architect, you’ll sit at the intersection of technology and commercial strategy, shaping how prospective clients understand, adopt and succeed with the Kaluza platform.
Working closely with Pre-Sales Consultants, you’ll lead the technical side of sales engagements, from deep-dive sessions on architecture and data models, through solution design, to handing off to implementation teams at contracting. No two engagements are the same: you might support early-stage prototypes, present at client sites, or advise our Product Architecture team on emerging market needs and common integration patterns.
Discovery and solution design: Lead discovery workshops to understand current and target architectures, translate complex requirements into solution designs, and define each client’s “to-be” architecture and integration patterns
Estimate and hand off: Estimate work packages so implementation programmes are set up for success
Tenders and proposals: Provide technical input into tender responses and proposals, and deliver compelling technical presentations with product and technology teams
Proof of concept: Partner with Pre-Sales Engineering to shape and design proof-of-concept exercises
Product advocacy: Act as the bridge between market demand and our engineering teams, so client needs shape the roadmap and proposed solutions align with core platform capabilities
Measurable outcomes: Advise clients on achieving measurable business outcomes through a data-driven approach, and help quantify the value of the platform in commercial conversations
What you’ll bring
You’re a technologist with a strong focus on business outcomes, comfortable running deep technical sessions with architects and setting out a clear strategic vision to C-suite stakeholders.
Ideally, you’ll have:
Proven experience delivering complex enterprise software implementations
Experience architecting and building systems, including some of: solutions on AWS, finance and billing platforms, and API technologies such as GraphQL and webhooks
Experience in regulated energy retail, particularly billing, metering and settlements systems
Exceptional communication skills, able to distil complex concepts into clear, persuasive messages for a wide range of stakeholders
A customer-centric, analytical approach, focused on solving the right problems and using data to measure success
Comfort with ambiguity in a fast-paced environment, managing multiple workstreams
Motivation from the role technology plays in the global energy transition
What will set you apart:
Experience architecting SaaS solutions in the energy industry
Experience designing large-scale, impactful software systems
Experience working with or for a large energy retailer
Our values

Play to win: Collective pride in decarbonising energy at scale.
