Compensation

• Expected base salary range is $103,000 to $180,000; actual compensation depends on experience, education, work location, clearance, and other permitted factors.
• The position may be eligible for bonuses. The stated base range excludes overtime pay and employer benefit contributions.

Role overview

Responsibilities

• Provide senior-level analytical and integration support that turns raw or incomplete data into decision-useful information for Comptroller leadership.
• Develop analyses, reports, briefings, presentations, and communications for internal, DoW, federal government, and Congressional audiences.
• Prepare briefing books, graphics, President’s Budget presentations, and other executive materials for senior Department of War leadership.
• Research and analyze relationships among budget programming, execution, accounting, and legislative activity.
• Ensure products are accurate, coherent, professionally presented, and responsive to evolving customer needs.

Required qualifications

• Master’s degree plus at least 10 years of relevant experience; six additional years of related experience may substitute for the degree.
• At least 10 years supporting DoD programs, organizations, or major initiatives, including 3 years in DoD financial management, budget, or related analysis.
• Active Secret security clearance and U.S. citizenship required.
• Practical PPBE experience, including budget formulation, President’s Budget development, and Congressional authorization and appropriations.
• Knowledge of DoD budget formulation products and the Congressional budget process.
• Ability to advise senior government leaders, translate ambiguous direction into practical solutions, and exercise independent consulting judgment.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, quality-control, and professional executive communication skills.
• Ability to identify issues, tactfully clarify requirements, manage concurrent assignments, prioritize work, and meet deadlines.
