Poker Tech Lead

About This Role

BettingJobs is working with a successful online poker platform company who seeking to bring in a Poker Tech Lead to join their team. This role ideally will be based in Dubai or can be done remotely with travel to their offices in Dubai .

Responsibilities:

• Define and execute the engineering and technology roadmap aligned with product and commercial goals
• Lead end-to-end delivery of a scalable, high-performance platform (accounts, wallets, game engine, CRM, back-office)
• Drive integrations with third parties (live dealer studios, payments, KYC/AML, risk tools)
• Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and uphold strong security, data protection, and reliability standards
• Build, lead, and develop high-performing engineering, QA, DevOps, and data teams
• Establish and optimise SDLC processes (Agile, CI/CD, testing, incident management) and track key platform KPIs
• Oversee production operations, infrastructure scalability, and cloud cost optimisation
• Manage vendor relationships and contribute to technical aspects of commercial agreements
• Support data architecture and promote data-driven, AI-enabled product and operational improvements

Requirements:

• Strong hands-on engineering background with leadership experience in high-scale, transactional systems
• Solid understanding of distributed systems, cloud architecture, and modern engineering practices
• Experience with integrations (payments, wallets, or gaming systems) preferred; iGaming a plus
• Comfortable with AI-native development tools and workflows
• Knowledge of security, data protection, and compliance in regulated environments
• Proven ability to hire, lead, and scale distributed engineering teams
• Familiarity with modern tech stacks (Node.js, cloud, Kubernetes, etc.) is advantageous
• Degree in a relevant field or equivalent experience
• Ambitious, pragmatic, and high-integrity leader with strong communication skills
