Role overview

Editing and delivery

• Edit full-length YouTube episodes from three camera angles, synchronize video and audio, and switch naturally between angles.
• Create a professional branded intro and outro; select engaging moments for YouTube Shorts, Instagram Reels, and TikTok.
• Create vertical 9:16 clips and add captions, B-roll, titles, speaker names, graphics, zooms, transitions, and other visual elements.
• Clean and enhance audio, perform basic color correction, and maintain consistent EDUCATE ME Podcast branding.
• Export in suitable formats and resolutions for each platform; deliver on time and incorporate feedback and revisions.

Qualifications and requirements

• Previous experience editing podcasts, interviews, YouTube videos, or other long-form content.
• Experience with multicamera editing and synchronizing multiple video and audio sources.
• Proficiency in iMovie, Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, or similar professional editing software.
• Experience creating TikTok videos, Instagram Reels, and YouTube Shorts.
• Strong understanding of pacing, storytelling, and selecting engaging moments from longer content; ability to create clean and accurate captions and subtitles.
• Basic knowledge of audio enhancement and color correction; understanding of current social media video formats and editing styles.
• Strong attention to detail, consistent branding, ability to incorporate feedback, and reliability in meeting deadlines.
• A portfolio or examples of previous work are required; previous multicamera podcast editing experience is strongly preferred.
• A diploma or bachelor’s degree in a related media, film, video production, digital media, multimedia, or communications field is preferred.
