About the role

The PMO Manager is responsible for overseeing and optimizing project management activities across multiple streams to ensure the successful delivery of projects. This role involves supporting Project Managers (PMs), managing knowledge bases, ensuring the execution of Hypercare activities, and identifying and resolving risks and dependencies. The PMO Manager plays a key role in promoting cross-stream alignment, implementing communication and escalation plans, and providing guidance to the project management team to achieve organizational goals.

As a part of your job, you will:

  • Knowledge Management: Responsible for maintaining and organizing the project knowledge base, ensuring that all relevant project documentation is up to date and accessible.
  • Support PMs in KPIs: Assist Project Managers in updating and tracking Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) to ensure projects are aligned with organizational goals and performance metrics.
  • Hypercare Activities: Lead and manage Hypercare activities, ensuring that projects transition smoothly from development to production and all post-launch issues are addressed in a timely manner.
  • Risk & Issue Management: Collaborate with PMs to identify, assess, and resolve project risks, issues, and dependencies, ensuring projects remain on track and within scope.
  • Promote Cross-Stream Alignment: Foster strong communication and alignment between different project streams and teams, ensuring efficient collaboration and minimizing conflicts or misunderstandings.
  • Communication & Escalation Plans: Design, implement, and manage comprehensive communication and escalation plans to ensure timely updates and issue resolution across all levels of the project.
  • Escalation to PMO Director: Escalate any critical project risks, issues, or delays to the PMO Director, providing them with necessary insights and support to make informed decisions.
  • Coaching & Mentoring: Provide guidance and mentorship to Project Managers, helping to build their skills and ensure adherence to best practices and processes.
  • Vendor Management: Manage relationships with external vendors, ensuring they meet project requirements, timelines, and quality standards. Collaborate with vendors to address any performance issues and ensure smooth project delivery.

What are we looking for?

Education: Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field. PMP, PRINCE2, or similar project management certifications are highly desirable.

Experience: Minimum of 5+ years of experience as a PMO, PM or technical project manager

Skills:

  • Strong understanding of project management methodologies (Agile, Waterfall, Hybrid).
  • Quality Assurance Management is optional but highly valued.
  • Technical background, team leader or Solution Architect roles are optional but highly valued.
  • Excellent problem-solving and risk management abilities.
  • Ability to communicate complex information effectively to stakeholders at all levels.
  • Leadership and mentoring skills, with the ability to guide and develop project managers.
  • Proficient in project management software and tools (e.g., MS Project, Jira, Asana, etc.).
  • Strong organizational skills with attention to detail.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work in a collaborative team environment.
  • Proactive and solution-oriented mindset.
  • Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

  • Ability to adapt to different contexts, teams, and Clients;
  • Teamwork skills but also a sense of autonomy;
  • Motivation for international projects and ok if travel is included;
  • Willingness to collaborate with other players;
  • Strong communication skills.
