PMC Specialist Commissioning Engineer

Role overview

Key responsibilities

• Develop, review, and implement commissioning, start-up, and system handover plans.
• Coordinate pre-commissioning, commissioning, and start-up activities across disciplines; verify mechanical completion and system readiness.
• Review commissioning procedures, test packs, and operational readiness documentation.
• Monitor testing of mechanical, electrical, instrumentation, and process systems.
• Coordinate with engineering, construction, operations, vendors, and contractors to resolve technical issues.
• Ensure compliance with HSE requirements, project specifications, and quality standards.
• Track progress and risks, recommend corrective actions, and support performance and integrated system testing and plant start-up.
• Prepare commissioning reports and records; ensure safe handover of completed systems to operations.
• Provide technical guidance and mentoring to commissioning personnel.

Expected qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Instrumentation, Chemical, or Process Engineering.
• Typically 15+ years of commissioning, start-up, operations, or project execution experience in Oil & Gas, LNG, Petrochemical, Refining, or Energy industries.
• Proven experience in pre-commissioning, commissioning, and start-up.
