PMC Lead Electrical Engineer

Role Overview

Key Objectives

• Lead the design and implementation of offshore platform electrical systems.
• Ensure compliance with safety regulations, standards, project specifications, and operational requirements.
• Develop maintenance programs to support system reliability and efficiency.
• Manage project budgets, schedules, resources, and engineering risks.
• Provide technical support to engineering teams and operations personnel.

Key Accountabilities

• Lead the team of engineers and designers.
• Design and approve electrical work on assigned projects.
• Ensure design methods, standards, and data meet client requirements.
• Participate in project scheduling and project reviews.
• Carry out electrical calculations and studies for equipment specifications.
• Prepare material requisitions and technical bid evaluations.
• Support preparation of single-line diagrams, protection and control schematics, and layout drawings.
• Review vendor documents and third-party discipline design work.
• Communicate with other disciplines to optimize design interfaces.
• Attend factory and site acceptance tests for electrical equipment.

Required Technical Tools

• Use ETAP, Navisworks, lighting calculation software such as DIALux, and Microsoft Office.
• Set up and maintain electrical databases on assigned projects.

Requirements

• Proven experience overseeing the design, installation, and maintenance of electrical systems on offshore platforms.
• Ability to lead engineers and designers on assigned projects.
• Ability to design and approve electrical work in accordance with client requirements and project standards.
• Ability to carry out electrical calculations and studies to finalize equipment specifications.
• Proficiency in ETAP, Navisworks, lighting calculation software such as DIALux, and Microsoft Office.
• Ability to work with electrical equipment vendors and review technical documentation for quality and timeliness.
• Knowledge of project quality management requirements and electrical engineering standards.
• Ability to communicate across disciplines and manage design interfaces.
