Platform Owner-Cards

Job Purpose

What You Will Do

• Own the full run‑and‑change lifecycle of RAKBANK’s cards platforms (TSYS Prime 4, Online Authorization, post‑facto fraud), managing them as strategic internal products with defined SLOs, SLAs, and uptime KPIs.
• Ensure full compliance with UAE local payment scheme mandates alongside Visa and Mastercard requirements, managing certifications, timelines, and regulatory obligations.
• Drive platform innovation and future readiness to support new card products, digital wallets, tokenisation, BNPL, and emerging payment capabilities at scale.
• Deliver platform capabilities that meet the full needs of Personal, SME, Commercial, and Corporate banking segments, translating business requirements into robust technology solutions.
• Govern and expose cards capabilities through stable, well‑documented APIs, ensuring versioning discipline and protection for consuming channels and squads.
• Lead high‑precision platform operations, including real‑time authorisation health, BCP/DR readiness, major incident management, and root‑cause elimination.
• Oversee post‑facto fraud detection effectiveness, including rule tuning, performance metrics, and alignment with evolving UAE and regional fraud patterns.
• Manage all platform run activities, including patching, releases, PCI DSS compliance, infrastructure coordination, and scheme certification continuity.
• Lead and develop a high‑performance cards platform team with clear ownership, accountability, and continuous capability building.
• Own and report all run‑and‑change KPIs, technical roadmap, and operational efficiency initiatives, ensuring platform readiness ahead of business and programme demand.

What You Will Bring

• 15+ years in banking technology with at least 5 years in a platform management, product ownership, or senior application management role covering card management systems.
• Hands-on experience with TSYS Prime 4 (or an equivalent enterprise card management platform such as OpenWay WAY4, Compass Plus, or FIS CAMS) is strongly preferred; direct TSYS Prime 4 experience is a significant advantage.
• Deep functional knowledge of card products and operations across the full customer spectrum — consumer credit and debit, prepaid and virtual cards, SME business cards, commercial and large corporate card programmes — and the platform configuration required to support each segment.
• Proven experience managing UAE local payment scheme obligations and mandate delivery — familiarity with Al Etihad Payments, UAESWITCH domestic scheme requirements, and the interoperability framework governing card transactions within the UAE, alongside Visa and Mastercard international scheme management.
• Strong understanding of digital payments innovation — digital wallet integration (Apple Pay, Google Pay), EMV tokenisation, contactless payments, 3DS authentication, open banking card APIs, and BNPL integration.
• Experience managing the post-facto fraud detection capability — including rule management, fraud analytics, detection effectiveness optimisation, and coordination with fraud operations teams.
• Strong understanding of PCI DSS requirements and their operational implications for card platform management and scheme certification.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
• Prior experience in the same domain or hands-on familiarity with the specific technologies relevant to this role will be considered a significant advantage during candidate evaluation.
