The Risk Analytics and Monitoring team supports a data-driven compliance culture with analytics and responsible use of AI to help Legal and Compliance identify risks and make decisions.

Role overview

The senior platform and engineering leader owns technical foundations beneath the Risk Analytics product portfolio, rather than the business-facing AI and analytics products themselves.

The portfolio covers data engineering and pipelines, or data governance and agent infrastructure; the role takes primary ownership of one area based on expertise and team strengths.

Success is measured by platform reliability, data quality, control effectiveness, secure access, operational readiness, and enabling downstream products to scale without avoidable technical or governance risk.

Responsibilities

  • Own the assigned portfolio’s architecture and operational roadmap, prioritizing reliability, security, data quality, scalability, technical debt, modernization, and dependencies.
  • Deliver and operate production-grade platforms, pipelines, integrations, governance controls, or agent services with monitoring, support, change control, and lifecycle management.
  • Set and enforce technical standards and provide architecture assurance and engineering oversight, including design, testing, security, and production readiness reviews.
  • Enable Compliance Risk Analytics and AI teams with scalable platform capabilities; coordinate technical relationships, approvals, dependencies, and operational change.
  • Improve reuse, automation, and cost efficiency, and strengthen capability through documentation, coaching, and knowledge transfer.

Basic qualifications

  • Significant experience designing, delivering, and operating enterprise data platforms, data engineering, governance and security frameworks, or AI-enabling infrastructure in production.
  • Deep expertise in at least one area: data engineering and pipelines, or data governance and agent infrastructure.
  • Data engineering experience may include cloud data platforms, ETL or ELT, APIs, orchestration, modelling, testing, deployment, observability, incident management, and operational reliability.
  • Governance and agent infrastructure experience may include classification, identity and access, lineage, retention, metadata, sensitive-data controls, telemetry, evaluation infrastructure, and governance assurance.
  • Strong architecture and engineering leadership, including design decisions and setting technical standards.
