Platform Engineering Manager

• to lead the design, development, and operation of our internal platform infrastructure and engineering systems.
• The ideal candidate will oversee platform architecture, enable developer productivity, ensure system reliability, and drive automation and scalability across cloud-native environments.
• 🚀 Key Responsibilities
• Lead the design, development, and evolution of scalable platform engineering systems and internal developer platforms
• Define and implement platform strategies aligned with engineering, product, and business objectives
• Oversee cloud infrastructure, CI/CD pipelines, observability systems, deployment frameworks, and developer tooling
• Collaborate with software engineering, DevOps, SRE, security, and product teams to improve developer experience and system reliability
• Ensure high availability, scalability, performance, security, and resilience of platform services across production environments
• Drive automation initiatives for infrastructure provisioning, deployment, monitoring, testing, and system operations
• Manage platform architecture decisions involving cloud services (AWS, Azure, GCP), containerization, Kubernetes, microservices, and distributed systems
• Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) including system uptime, deployment frequency, lead time for changes, mean time to recovery (MTTR), and platform performance metrics
• Implement best practices for infrastructure as code (IaC), configuration management, observability, and security compliance
• Lead incident response, root cause analysis, performance optimization, and capacity planning activities
• Evaluate and adopt emerging technologies, cloud-native tools, and platform engineering frameworks to enhance scalability and efficiency
• Manage platform budgets, infrastructure costs, vendor relationships, and technology investments
• Prepare technical reports, architecture reviews, performance dashboards, and strategic recommendations for senior leadership
• Lead, mentor, and develop platform engineers, DevOps engineers, SREs, and infrastructure specialists while fostering a culture of reliability, automation, and continuous improvement
• ✅ Requirements
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, or a related field preferred
• Professional certifications such as AWS Certified Solutions Architect, Google Cloud Professional, Microsoft Azure Architect, Kubernetes Administrator (CKA), Terraform Associate, or equivalent are advantageous
• 7+ years of experience in platform engineering, DevOps, infrastructure engineering, or site reliability engineering (SRE) roles
• 3+ years of experience managing engineering teams or platform/infrastructure operations preferred
• Strong understanding of cloud computing, distributed systems, microservices architecture, container orchestration, and infrastructure automation
• Hands-on experience with AWS, Azure, or GCP, Kubernetes, Docker, Terraform, CI/CD pipelines, and observability tools (Prometheus, Grafana, ELK stack, Datadog, etc.)
• Strong knowledge of software engineering best practices, system design, networking, and security principles
• Experience with DevOps practices, GitOps, infrastructure as code, and modern software delivery pipelines
• Strong leadership, strategic thinking, analytical, and problem-solving skills
• Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and cross-functional collaboration abilities
• Ability to manage complex technical environments while balancing reliability, scalability, security, and cost efficiency
• Ability to work independently in a remote environment
