Platform Engineer /Sr. Associate Director

Role overview

Responsibilities

• Define and track non-functional requirements and maintain runbooks, SOPs, and operational artefacts.
• Review operational readiness before release and ensure production standards and risk controls are met.
• Plan and test backup, restore, and disaster recovery; validate RTO/RPO targets and remediate findings.
• Operate monitoring, alerting, and observability for incident response, triage, service restoration, root cause analysis, and problem management.
• Manage risk-prioritized vulnerability remediation and patching across Windows, Linux, and platform components; prepare audit evidence.
• Operate and improve GCP and Kubernetes/GKE services, including upgrades, node pools, add-ons, capacity, availability, and workload troubleshooting.
• Apply IAM, networking, logging, and monitoring controls to secure platform operations.
• Automate checks, patch orchestration, reporting, and evidence capture using PowerShell, Bash, Ansible, and Python.

Requirements

• Substantial platform engineering, infrastructure/cloud operations, SRE, or production support experience, with incident, problem, and change management discipline.
• Hands-on GCP experience at scale, including IAM, networking, and observability; strong Kubernetes experience, ideally GKE.
• Strong Windows and Linux administration, including patching and troubleshooting.
• Automation experience with PowerShell, Bash, Ansible, and Python.
• Ability to produce audit-ready runbooks, SOPs, and operational evidence.
• Experience with backup, restore, disaster recovery, and testing against RTO/RPO targets.
• Ability to support incident triage, root cause analysis, and problem management.
