Hiring: Senior Platform Engineer Riyadh (12 month freelance, on site)
We are looking for a Senior Platform Engineer to join a major technology programme in Riyadh on a 12 month freelance contract .
This role is 100% on site, 5 days per week (40 hours) .
Key Responsibilities
- Design, build, and automate cloud infrastructure using Terraform across GCP and OCI .
- Operate, maintain, and optimise managed Kubernetes environments ( GKE & OKE ).
- Manage core platform components: Kong API Gateway , Istio/Service Mesh , Vault , ExternalDNS .
- Implement GitOps workflows with ArgoCD and integrate CI/CD pipelines for seamless delivery.
- Deploy, configure, and support observability tooling: Dynatrace , Prometheus , Alertmanager , Grafana .
- Strengthen platform security through SAST , DAST , RBAC , mTLS , image scanning, and broader DevSecOps controls.
- Lead disaster recovery planning and execution aligned with RTO/RPO targets and SAMA IT Governance .
