Platform Engineer

Role Overview

Key Responsibilities

• Install, configure, and administer data platform components in an on-premises environment.
• Deploy and manage MinIO Object Storage and Apache Iceberg-based data lakehouse architecture.
• Install, configure, and optimize Starburst and/or Dremio platforms for data virtualization and querying.
• Deploy, administer, and support Apache Spark clusters and processing services.
• Install, configure, and manage Informatica components and ensure seamless integration with the platform ecosystem.
• Configure and maintain Development, QA, and Production environments.
• Integrate platform components with enterprise security services including IAM, PAM, Active Directory/LDAP, SSO, and RBAC.
• Implement and support Git-based DevOps and CI/CD practices.
• Manage monitoring, logging, backup, disaster recovery, and operational readiness processes.
• Collaborate with infrastructure, security, and application teams to ensure platform stability, availability, and performance.
• Troubleshoot deployment, configuration, integration, and connectivity issues across the platform stack.

• MinIO Administration.

• VMware Infrastructure.
• Docker and/or Kubernetes.
• Git and CI/CD Integration.
• IAM/PAM Integration.
• Infrastructure Troubleshooting and Operational Support.

Good-to-Have Skills

• Data Lakehouse Architecture.
• Enterprise Security Architecture.
• Performance Tuning and Capacity Planning.
• Monitoring Tools (Prometheus, Grafana, ELK, etc.).
• Infrastructure Automation (Terraform, Ansible).
• Experience working in highly secured enterprise environments.
• Disaster Recovery and Backup Strategy Implementation.

Employment Details

• Employment Type: Contractual 3 to 5 month.
• Experience Required: 5 to 10 years.
• Work Location: KSA.
