Role Description
The Plant Operations Manager is a part-time hybrid role based in Abu Dhabi, with a combination of on-site presence and the flexibility to work from home.
The Plant Operations Manager will oversee daily plant operations, including production planning, scheduling, and performance monitoring to ensure safe, efficient, and cost-effective operations.
Responsibilities include leading and coordinating plant staff, implementing operational procedures, and ensuring adherence to safety, quality, and regulatory standards.
The role involves monitoring equipment performance, coordinating maintenance activities, and resolving operational issues to minimize downtime.
The Plant Operations Manager will also track key performance indicators, prepare operational reports, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive continuous improvement and support strategic goals.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in plant or operations management, with a strong understanding of production processes, resource planning, and workflow optimization.
- Demonstrated ability to lead and develop diverse teams, including performance management, coaching, and fostering a culture of safety and accountability.
- Strong knowledge of health, safety, and environmental standards and regulations, with a track record of implementing and maintaining safe work practices.
- Experience with maintenance coordination, equipment reliability, and basic understanding of mechanical or industrial systems to reduce downtime.
- Competence in data analysis, reporting, and the use of spreadsheets or ERP systems to monitor KPIs and support decision-making.
- Excellent organizational, problem-solving, and communication skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic environment.
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Operations Management, Industrial Management, or a related field; relevant professional certifications are an advantage.
- Experience working in hybrid work settings and the ability to collaborate effectively with on-site and remote team members.
- Previous experience in manufacturing, industrial facilities, or related sectors in the GCC region is preferred.
