Plant Manager Northwick

How will you CONTRIBUTE and GROW?

What You Will Do:

• Drive Operational Excellence: Optimize Plant operations through strategic feeding plans and active biological management to maximize profitability. You will manage digestate processing to maintain PAS 110 compliance and lead the Engineering Team in daily and ad-hoc task prioritization.
• Lead Strategy & Financial Growth: Lead business planning, annual budgeting, and monthly financial reporting in conjunction with the Finance team. You will own capital projects and ensure the timely submission of Regulator data required for green energy valorization.
• Champion Safety & Compliance: Guarantee strict adherence to all HSE policies, Codes of Conduct, and regulatory requirements across the site. This includes comprehensive risk management (Job Hazard Analysis, RAMS), audits, and inspections.
• Empower the Team: Coordinate and animate all site stakeholders, taking full responsibility for the training, qualifications, and welfare of your 12-person team. You will actively lead continuous improvement and efficiency initiatives.

Are you a MATCH?

Must Have:

• A Degree in a related discipline.
• A NEBOSH qualification.
• Previous experience working on a production/operational plant or directly within the Waste sector.
• Experience in project management, customer relationship building, and stakeholder management.
• Team leadership experience.
• Good to Have:
• An Engineering background (e.g., Mechanical, Electrical).
• A WAMITAB qualification
• Knowledge of the waste industry and the AD sector.
• Chemical or biological knowledge, paired with financial and regulatory compliance experience.
• A Lean management or Six-Sigma qualification.

• Northwick Power is an industrial processor of food waste located on the north of Gloucestershire close to Chipping Campden and the plant has been designed to handle a wide range of waste feedstocks. Through a process called Anaerobic Digestion it utilises the waste as a raw material to create methane, which in turn is used to generate electricity and gas both of which are exported to the national grids and are 100% renewable.
