Role Description This is a part-time, hybrid Plant Maintenance Manager role based in Abu Dhabi, with a combination of on-site work and some work-from-home flexibility.
The Plant Maintenance Manager will oversee the day-to-day maintenance operations of facility equipment and infrastructure, ensuring safe, efficient, and reliable plant performance.
Responsibilities
include planning and coordinating preventive maintenance schedules, supervising maintenance technicians and contractors, and prioritizing work orders to minimize downtime.
The role involves diagnosing equipment issues, organizing repairs, maintaining maintenance records and asset inventories, and ensuring compliance with safety standards and organizational policies.
The Plant Maintenance Manager will collaborate with operations, procurement, and health and safety teams to optimize maintenance budgets, manage spare parts, and support continuous improvement initiatives in plant reliability and performance.
Qualifications
- Strong maintenance leadership and supervisory skills, including team coordination, task delegation, and performance monitoring.
- Proficiency in equipment maintenance and repair, with the ability to troubleshoot mechanical and/or electrical issues and coordinate corrective actions.
- Experience in preventive maintenance planning and scheduling to reduce downtime and extend equipment life.
- Demonstrated maintenance management capabilities, including work order management, documentation, and use of maintenance management systems.
- Knowledge of maintenance and repair best practices, safety regulations, and relevant industry standards.
- Diploma or degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial Engineering, Facilities Management, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience).
- Experience in plant, manufacturing, utilities, or facilities maintenance in a supervisory or managerial role.
- Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and the ability to prioritize in a dynamic environment.
- Effective communication skills and the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams and external vendors.
- Familiarity with health, safety, and environmental (HSE) practices; relevant certifications are an advantage.
