What You Will Do
- Lead environmental health and safety improvement strategy development and deployment within the plant.
- Develop, lead, and execute EHS initiatives that support business objectives and EHS goals.
- Support operating model processes that increase associate engagement, empowerment, and EHS performance improvement.
- Administer and continuously improve environmental and safety management systems, including ISO 14001 implementation and preparation for ISO 45001 certification.
- Facilitate EHS governance processes and establish key leading and lagging performance indicators.
- Build relationships with regulatory agencies, community leaders, and external stakeholders while promoting EHS best practices and a positive safety culture.
- What We're Looking For
- Bachelor's degree in Environmental, Health & Safety, Engineering, or a related discipline.
- 7+ years of experience designing, implementing, and leading proactive EHS programs in a manufacturing environment.
- 3-5 years of management experience implementing and/or sustaining ISO 14001, ISO 45001, or comparable EHS management systems.
- Demonstrated success improving EHS performance and building effective relationships with governmental regulatory agencies.
- Strong knowledge of environmental and safety regulations, leadership and coaching abilities, problem-solving skills, business acumen, and written and verbal communication skills.
- Master's degree in an environmental or safety discipline, engineering, Certified Industrial Hygienist (CIH), Certified Safety Professional (CSP), or equivalent certification is preferred.
