Planning Manager responsible for project-controls phases, including planning, scheduling, and cost analysis.
Typically manages small- to medium-sized projects and draws on broad project-controls experience.
Responsibilities
- Monitor and review schedule development, control, and analysis in the field and home office.
- Ensure contractors prepare and maintain detailed schedules; prepare schedules in P6 and Excel.
- Review contractor progress reports and prepare client progress reports.
- Track site progress, report baseline deviations, verify progress against approved WIRs, and confirm daily report data.
- Analyze contractor delay claims and prepare reports and recommendations.
- Mentor Parsons and contractor staff; verify progress through site inspection as required.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in engineering or a related field from an accredited university.
- At least 12 years of planning and scheduling experience, including work as scheduling manager on large-scale projects.
- Must have led a large project-controls department on prestigious projects with top international firms.
- Expert in Primavera P6, PowerPoint, Excel, and other MS Office software; Power BI is advantageous.
- Experience in construction progress monitoring, contractor delay claims, mentoring, three-week look-ahead schedules, and time-critical scheduling.
- Excellent written and spoken English, with strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Knowledge of engineering, procurement, contracts, construction, and startup processes.
