Planning Engineer

Role overview

Key responsibilities

• Develop, review, and maintain project schedules using Primavera P6; prepare baseline schedules and project execution plans.
• Monitor progress against approved schedules, identify deviations, and coordinate updates with project managers, site engineers, construction teams, and subcontractors.
• Conduct critical path and delay analysis; identify bottlenecks and prepare recovery and mitigation plans.
• Prepare weekly, monthly, and quarterly look-ahead schedules and daily, weekly, and monthly progress reports.
• Monitor manpower, material, and equipment needs; support forecasting and resource allocation.
• Review construction drawings, BOQs, and specifications; prepare S-curves, progress curves, histograms, and performance reports.
• Ensure activities align with contractual milestones and project deadlines.

Required qualifications and experience

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering is mandatory.
• 8–12 years of relevant construction project planning and scheduling experience; the posting also lists 8 years as required experience.
• Strong hands-on Primavera P6 experience is mandatory.
• Good knowledge of MS Project and advanced MS Excel.
• Understanding of civil construction, project execution, and construction methodologies.
• Experience preparing baseline schedules, progress reports, and delay analysis.
• Knowledge of project management principles, resource planning, and project controls.
• Strong coordination, analytical, reporting, and communication skills.

Preferred profile

• Large-scale construction or infrastructure project experience in Saudi Arabia or the GCC is advantageous.
• Building, infrastructure, industrial, or commercial project experience is preferred.
• The posting expresses a preference for candidates based in Saudi Arabia or with prior KSA experience.

Compensation
