Buildings Rank Contracting Co. is looking for a Junior Planning Engineer to join our team in Riyadh.
The candidate will support project planning, progress tracking, scheduling, and reporting for construction and fit-out projects.
This role is suitable for someone with 1 to 2 years of experience who is organized, detail-oriented, and willing to grow in a practical site-based contracting environment.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and update project schedules using Primavera P6, MS Project, or similar planning tools.
- Monitor daily and weekly site progress and compare actual progress against the approved schedule.
- Prepare weekly progress reports, look-ahead schedules, and progress trackers.
- Coordinate with project engineers, site supervisors, subcontractors, and procurement teams to collect project updates.
- Support delay tracking, activity sequencing, manpower planning, and material follow-up.
- Assist in preparing progress dashboards, reports, and client/consultant submissions.
- Highlight delays, critical activities, and required actions to the project team.
- Maintain proper planning records, site progress data, and supporting documents.
Requirements
- 1 to 2 years of experience as a Planning Engineer or in a similar project coordination/planning role.
- Experience in construction, fit-out, or contracting projects is preferred.
- Basic knowledge of Primavera P6 and/or MS Project.
- Good command of Microsoft Excel.
- Ability to read drawings, BOQs, and project schedules.
- Good communication and coordination skills.
- Currently based in Saudi Arabia is preferred.
